On the afternoon of June 11, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) issued an official announcement about a contest that appeared to impersonate the association's name to promote false information.

Accordingly, the contest called “International Painting for Children 2025 – Kao International Environment Painting Contest” is being spread on social networks with information that VAPA will issue certificates for the awards.

VAPA affirms that it does not sponsor, coordinate, or issue any type of certification related to the above contest. The Association emphasizes that VAPA's field of activity is photography, not related to painting or children's painting contests.

Using the name of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to promote non-professional activities is an act of impersonation, affecting the reputation of the organization and easily causing misunderstandings for parents, students and the public.

The association recommends that people be vigilant against fake information and said it will coordinate with authorities to clarify the incident and protect the image and legitimate interests of the organization.
