Bac Ninh Provincial Women's Union spreads love, following children to school

Responding to the “Godmother” program launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union and the “Walking with you to school” program, the Women’s Union at all levels of Bac Ninh province simultaneously implemented practical activities to support orphans and children in difficult circumstances in the area to go to school.

From August 15 to September 5, 2025, the Women's Union at all levels in the province mobilized cadres, members, women and benefactors to donate 2,416 cash gifts, 1,701 sets of books, lamps, school bags, 261 sets of clothes and 254 bicycles, with a total value of nearly 2 billion VND. The gifts, although simple, contained the affection, sharing and kindness of Bac Ninh women to the children, helping them have more conditions and motivation to enter the new school year.

Bong Lai Ward Women's Union cooperated to give gifts to children at the beginning of the new school year.

In parallel, the Provincial Women's Union closely coordinated with departments, branches, organizations, local authorities and the business community to present 8,635 cash gifts, 1,890 sets of books, school supplies and 166 bicycles, with a total value of nearly 2.5 billion VND. Thus, the total value of gifts for children in the province on this occasion reached over 4.5 billion VND.

Not only are the gifts material support, the activity also brings spiritual encouragement, affirming the role of companionship, support and sharing of Women's Unions at all levels in helping children go to school.

In particular, through the "Godmother" Program, more and more orphans and children in difficult circumstances receive long-term care and guidance, helping them gain more confidence and determination to study and nurture their dreams. The images of mothers and sisters in the Women's Union personally giving bicycles, books, new clothes or financial support are proof of the immense love and spread of the spirit of humanity and affection in Bac Ninh.

The activity of supporting children to go to school before the new school year has become a regular activity, bearing the profound humanitarian imprint of the Association. The above results clearly affirm the role of connecting, mobilizing and sharing of the Association at all levels in Bac Ninh province, continuing to contribute to the good implementation of social security work, caring for children - the young buds of the country.
