In September 2023, teacher Do Thi Sang, Ly Van Lam Secondary and High School ( Ca Mau City), and her students had an interesting experience when they were immersed in the fresh nature of U Minh Ha forest, and were able to place eel cages with farmers here.
The children had the opportunity to experience with Mr. Tran Cong Chanh, Hamlet 12, Khanh Binh Tay Bac Commune and Mr. Pham Van Lun, Hamlet 5, Tran Hoi Commune, Tran Van Thoi District (Ca Mau Province), making eel traps using thorny bamboo to place eels in the traditional way.
From the stage of using a saw to cut bamboo, then removing bamboo buds, making cuttings, drilling holes for the eels to breathe, to the stage of making bait and setting traps to catch eels.
