Fire burned down many wooden houses of people, causing billions of dong in damage

On the afternoon of August 10, Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Do Commune (Ha Tinh Province) Le Huu Dong said that a large fire had just occurred in the area, burning down 3 wooden houses, causing great property damage.

According to initial information, at around 11am the same day, the family of Mr. Nguyen Van T. (residing in Thai Yen village, Huong Do commune) discovered fire and smoke coming from their house so they quickly ran outside to shout for help. When people arrived at the scene, the fire had already broken out fiercely.

Hot weather and large fires make it difficult to put out the fire.

Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities, police, military , organizations, people and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force of Ha Tinh Provincial Police mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene to put out the fire.

The fire broke out fiercely.

However, due to hot weather, strong winds, high temperatures of about 37-39 degrees Celsius, and the scene being mostly wooden, the fire quickly spread, making it difficult to control the fire.

Houses burned down by fire

By around 12:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control and extinguished. However, 3 wooden houses that had been built and many other wooden materials that were being gathered were burned down by the fire.

Authorities try to put out the fire

According to Mr. Le Huu Dong, the fire did not cause any human casualties but caused huge property damage to the family, initially estimated at about 7 billion VND.

The incident is being investigated by authorities to clarify the cause.
