Supporting vocational training for more than 800 ethnic minority workers

In recent times, the Vocational Education Department under the Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training has coordinated with vocational training institutions, local authorities and associations and organizations in the province to propagate and mobilize workers from ethnic minority households to actively participate in vocational training and change jobs according to their needs. All costs of study and travel are supported free of charge from the budget of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas. Thereby, up to now, the whole province has supported vocational training for less than 3 months for 835 ethnic minority workers; as a result, 90% of workers after vocational training have stable jobs, with occupations such as: Garment, fruit tree planting, veterinary medicine, freshwater fish farming, construction, carpentry, etc.
