Party committees, authorities and organizations in Bac Ninh province always pay attention to helping and creating conditions for the blind to have jobs and stabilize their lives. However, due to the specific characteristics of visual disabilities, the blind are very limited in their ability to choose jobs, most of them work as massage therapists. Massage technique classes organized by the Association for the Blind have helped many blind people have the opportunity to work in massage service establishments opened by the Association to serve the people, creating income for members.

In addition, some members have good adaptability and know how to apply information technology to make a living through jobs such as music performance and online sales. Luong Thi Tra My, Kinh Bac ward, thanks to applying information technology, continued her studies, won a scholarship, and became a student of Information Technology at RMIT University. Ms. Pham Thi Hue, Trung Kenh commune, applied information technology to teach English to children. Ms. Duong Thi Vui, Phu Khe ward, is good at foreign languages, won a scholarship to study abroad in Australia, and participated in many community projects to help people with disabilities... These examples demonstrate the efforts of the visually impaired. They can completely overcome their disabilities to take control of their lives and become useful people for society.
The Center for Rehabilitation Training - Vocational Guidance - Employment for the Blind of the Bac Ninh Provincial Association for the Blind has just completed an information technology training course for its members. It is known that this is the first class to be trained with new equipment sponsored by the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Luan in Hanoi in April 2025. Mrs. Cao Minh Truc, daughter-in-law of Mrs. Luan, shared: “My mother is from Tien Du commune, Bac Ninh province. Before she passed away, she wished to spend some money to do charity work to help others. When I was entrusted by my mother, I discussed with family members to choose to do charity by donating computer classroom equipment to the Bac Ninh Provincial Association for the Blind”.
As one of the trainees participating in the training, Ms. Pham Thi Huyen, Kinh Bac ward said: “I am very touched when I am cared for, helped, and given the conditions to rise up and integrate into the community. In addition to the regular material help and support to improve my life, the spiritual support and the ability to provide a livelihood like these training courses help me feel more confident”. Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Association for the Blind has opened 3 vocational training classes, training 30 members in massage, acupressure, and information technology. Thereby, equipping the visually impaired with more knowledge and skills.
The road to overcoming difficulties for people with disabilities in general and the visually impaired in particular is still full of difficulties and obstacles. However, timely and appropriate support from Party committees, authorities and the community will gradually help the visually impaired to improve their lives.
