As one of many households in village 4 that have used the project's water source since January 2024, Mr. Ha Van Viet said that his family used to use well water for daily life, irrigation and livestock farming, but because his house was located low, during the rainy season, rainwater carried soil, sand, mud, and silt from the ground surface into the underground water sources, making the well water turbid.
Every time water is pumped into the tank, his family has to wait a few hours or overnight for the mud to settle, then use the water on top for daily activities. This is not only a nuisance but also poses a potential health risk due to the use of unsafe water sources.

In village 1, currently 95/95 households in the village have registered to use water from the above project. Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, Head of village 1, said that in previous years, 100% of households in the village used water from dug wells, and when the rainy season came, the well water often had an unusual color (light gray-white). Therefore, people had to spend money to buy additional filters to treat impurities, bacteria, and toxic chemicals that may be in the water, before using it. Since the project was completed and put into use, the selling price of water has been only over 5,500 VND/m3 for the first 10 m3 consumed, along with the policy of free support for pipes, faucets, and water meters to the house, so people have all registered to use it.
The centralized water supply project of Xuan Phu commune was built to supply domestic water to people in villages 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 of Xuan Phu commune and Tan Tien village of Cu Hue commune, with a total investment of nearly 15 billion VND, started at the end of 2022 and completed on December 15, 2023. The project includes 2 drilled wells (depth of 120 m/well), 1 dug well with horizontal drilling; 1 level 4 management and operation house; 2 filter tanks (each tank is 16 m3); 1 clean water tank of 250 m3; level II pumping station house and full filter washing water collection pit, fence...
Mr. Pham Ngoc Binh, Director of the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province - the unit managing, operating, exploiting and using the project) said that the center is providing water to 576 households in Xuan Phu commune, 109 households in Cu Hue commune and 18 households in Ea Kar town.
In order for the project to operate effectively and meet customer needs, the unit provides water 24/7; strictly follows the operating and maintenance procedures for the project and equipment according to regulations. Regarding quality, the water is treated in accordance with the national standards on clean water for domestic use issued by the Ministry of Health .
In addition, the unit also regularly sends workers to inspect to promptly detect problems from pipes and damaged meters, thereby promptly repairing them, avoiding losses for users and the company.
