Hanoi: Fire in adjacent house, 2 victims died

At nearly 5:00 p.m. on June 17, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a report of an explosion causing a fire at the townhouse 08-TT35 (Van Phu Urban Area, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City).

Immediately afterwards, the Command Information Center mobilized the local fire prevention and fighting and rescue team of Ha Dong district, the fire prevention and rescue team of area 4 (under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department) to dispatch dozens of officers, soldiers and 4 fire trucks to the scene.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department also mobilized 2 more command vehicles and a vehicle transport vehicle to the scene to participate in fire fighting.

Authorities discovered cylindrical tubes suspected to be fireworks used for organizing events on fire.

By 5:40 p.m. the same day, the fire was extinguished. The forces found 2 victims, handed them over to the medical team and confirmed their deaths.

Through verification at the scene, the townhouse is 4 stories high, about 70m2 ^/ floor, reinforced concrete structure. The explosion area on the 4th floor contains tube-shaped combustion products (suspected to be fireworks for event organization).
