Clearing the flood escape corridor of Phu Ninh reservoir

Tam Xuan Commune People's Committee has just deployed the work of clearing the flood drainage corridor on the river for Phu Ninh reservoir to ensure the safety of people's lives and property when the reservoir regulates flood discharge during the rainy season.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the number of storms and tropical depressions directly affecting the Central region in 2025 is likely to be higher than the average of many years and concentrated in the period from early September to late December 2025.

Accordingly, Phu Ninh reservoir may regulate flood discharge regularly when heavy rain occurs continuously.

This flood discharge regulation will affect aquaculture activities, daily life, fishing and exploitation of other resources of fishermen on Tam Ky and Truong Giang rivers.

Therefore, households need to soon have a plan to harvest aquatic products raised in cages, ponds and lakes and have appropriate response solutions when the reservoir regulates floods, deploy the cleaning of assets, boats, fish cages, and hold back vehicles... on Tam Ky and Truong Giang rivers to ensure a flood escape corridor for Phu Ninh reservoir.
