RON95-III gasoline price increased 3 times in a row, approaching 20,000 VND per liter

From 3 p.m. on June 12, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by VND199 per liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by VND269 per liter. In addition, diesel increased by VND280 per liter; kerosene increased by VND227 per liter and fuel oil added VND283 per kilogram.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued an urgent document to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline and oil prices.

Accordingly, from 3:00 p.m. today (June 12), the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,462 VND/liter, an increase of 199 VND/liter compared to the current price; the new price of RON95-III gasoline is 19,967 VND/liter, an increase of 269 VND/liter compared to the current price.

During this adjustment period, diesel increased by VND280/liter to VND17,700/liter; kerosene increased by VND227/liter, the new price is VND17,511/liter, and fuel oil increased by VND283, the new price is VND16,461/kg.

Along with that, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requested not to set aside and not to use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products. As for the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,083 billion VND, remaining stable compared to the most recent announcement period.

This is also the third consecutive increase in domestic gasoline prices. Most recently (June 5), except for fuel oil, which decreased by 86 VND, the remaining products increased, including E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 67 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter; diesel increased by 284 VND/liter; and kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the period of petroleum price management will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.

In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday./.
