The incentive that Mr. Thao mentioned comes from the third “Fierce Vietnamese Spirit – For a Green Future” policy for all people buying cars and electric motorbikes nationwide. It is known that this is an expanded policy from VinFast’s close partner program, which was previously only for certain businesses and units.
With this incentive, VinFast's car models are much more competitive than gasoline cars in the same segment. For example, Mr. Thao chose the VF 7 Eco version with a listed price of 799 million VND, after the incentive, the car price was only 767 million VND. Not to mention, because of switching from a gasoline car to an electric car, Mr. Thao also received an additional incentive of 30 million VND.
Adding the rolling costs, he only spent about 760 million VND to put the VF 7 on the road, equivalent to B-SUV models. Because the car was registered in Hanoi, this customer also received an additional 35 million VND.
For Mr. Thao, the VF 7 deal is clearly a bargain because the C-SUV model is inherently rated higher than other models in the same segment in terms of design, equipment, and power. Now, he himself can buy it at a super bargain price. "It's like getting a double profit, having a good car and a good price," he said.
Sharing the same opinion, Mr. Pham Van Minh (HCMC) has just decided to buy VF 8. What surprised him was that when all the incentives from VinFast were added up, he only needed to spend about 1 billion VND to get it on the road. "At this price, owning a car with an engine power of more than 400 horsepower and torque of up to 620 Nm is worth it," Mr. Minh shared.
Raising the bar for after-sales service in the market
Mr. Thao and Mr. Minh's trust also comes from the privilege of VinFast electric cars: Extremely economical cost.
Currently, with VinFast's free battery charging policy until mid-2027, car owners can enjoy using cars at almost zero cost at a system of 150,000 charging ports across the country. In addition, the maintenance cost of electric cars is also very low, almost negligible compared to traditional cars.
“ The first maintenance milestone of VF 8, 12,000 km, only cost me about 600,000 VND, this cost is only equivalent to a motorbike with the same number of kilometers of operation, ” said Ms. Hoang Phuong Nhung, a VF 8 owner in Ho Chi Minh City.
In particular, Ms. Nhung said that despite the low cost, VinFast's service quality is "impeccable". From the stage of making a maintenance appointment, bringing the car to the workshop, being welcomed at the workshop until taking the car home, she was satisfied with the service attitude and skills of the service workshop staff. The customer affirmed that this is the factor that helps the Vietnamese car company retain customers for a long time, unlike some car companies in Vietnam that only focus on increasing sales but "ignore" customer care.
In particular, with a system of more than 200 service workshops across the country, VinFast is able to ensure optimal processing speed for customers. The company also provides specific commitment times for repair and maintenance stages and always ensures the most convenient experience for customers.
“ My car had to be in the workshop for service, during that time, VinFast lent me a VF 7 to use. VinFast has great after-sales policies for customers, ” said Mr. Ho Ngoc Tung, owner of VF 5, recounting his experience of “a broken car being used with a better car”.
According to many experts in the industry, the appearance of VinFast has contributed to raising the general level of the Vietnamese automobile market by creating a big difference in both product quality, technology content in each product as well as after-sales service quality.
