The Vietnamese pig market is witnessing dramatic developments as prices continue to fluctuate strongly, especially in the Northern region. In just the past 24 hours, many localities have recorded impressive increases.

Pig price today July 31 in the North
According to the latest records, the price of live pigs in the North has skyrocketed from 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg, bringing the common price to 60,000 - 64,000 VND/kg. This is an astonishing number that has surprised many people.

However, Lao Cai remains "inactive" at 61,000 VND/kg, while Lai Chau, Dien Bien, and Son La continue to maintain the lowest regional price of 60,000 VND/kg. This differentiation shows that the market is extremely complicated and unpredictable.

In contrast to the other two regions, the southern pork market is "quiet as a sheet" today. Prices remain stable at 61,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

An Giang takes synchronous action and conducts training to combat African Swine Fever on a large scale
The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of An Giang province, in coordination with the provincial Agricultural Extension Center, organized a series of widespread online training sessions. These training sessions were connected to 102 points in communes, wards and special zones in the province, attracting the participation of pig farmers, along with officers in charge of animal husbandry and veterinary work in localities with household and farm livestock activities.
Through the training sessions, veterinary staff, farm owners and livestock households have been equipped with in-depth knowledge of the symptoms and transmission characteristics of ASF. This helps them to be more proactive in assessing the epidemic situation, raising awareness of prevention and timely handling when the epidemic breaks out. Furthermore, the program encourages the application of scientific and technical advances in livestock farming, especially biosecurity and disease safety farming methods, to protect livestock and prevent infectious diseases from animals to humans.
In addition, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of An Giang province also combines widespread propaganda on mass media to optimize the effectiveness of animal disease prevention, especially ASF.
