On the morning of August 3, at the Reading with Children Club ( Hanoi ), the event "Summer Meeting" took place in a friendly, exciting and emotional atmosphere.
This is a meaningful exchange activity between two clubs: Reading with Children Club (Hanoi) and Pretty Tea Bud Club (Do Son, Hai Phong ) with the participation of students, teachers and parents from the two localities.
The workshop is an opportunity for children to get to know each other and share their love of books. It is also an opportunity for parents and teachers to exchange and learn about methods to foster reading habits for their children, contributing to improving reading culture and connection.

Students participating in the exchange were able to read books together, chat, share their feelings and participate in creative interactive activities based on the book content. In addition to being listeners, they were also encouraged to become storytellers, actively express their emotions, express their thoughts and even embark on highly practical experiential activities such as drawing, role-playing, or crafting...
The highlight of the program was the interaction between parents and teachers of the two clubs. In a small, warm space, stories about the journey to foster reading habits in children, the challenges of building a reading culture in the family, or methods of organizing interactive reading-telling activities were shared openly and sincerely.

Experiences and practical lessons are suggested, discussed and motivated by parents and teachers on the journey of growing up with their children through books.
The "Summer Meeting" workshop is a vivid example of the ability to spread community reading models. The Reading Club with Children was established on June 6, 2010 based on the idea of Education Doctor Nguyen Thuy Anh, with the aim of supporting the development of reading culture in the family, creating emotions and maintaining the habit of reading for children from 12 months old through the interactive reading-telling method.

In addition, the Club is dedicated to building small "reading communities", encouraging and cheering each reader; thereby caring for a "new generation of readers" equipped with reading skills and cultivating the ability to vibrate with life and literature.
The important highlight of the Club is that all activities revolve around the cultural values that books bring to childhood, and involve the whole family, parents and children, whether online or offline.
Up to now, the Reading with Children Club has been operating for 15 years, with many diverse forms, from a daily open book library, weekly reading sessions, specialized activities, thematic workshops, to a series of Experiential activities, career guidance, training activities, consulting related to education and operating family, school and community bookcases.

Established in April 2022 and inspired by the Reading with Children Club model initiated by Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh, the Do Son Parents Reading with Children Club - the Pretty Tea Bud Club - was initially a gathering place for families who love reading in Do Son, families who want to create a reading habit for their children from a young age, families who consider accompanying their children as important in their parenting journey.
Held once a month, during each reading session, children will read a book with adults, then interact, chat and share, and be guided by their parents to practice other activities related to the book they have just read.

The club's management board has also organized field trips with content related to reading activities as well as learning about culture and history, thereby increasing knowledge and fostering positive emotions, creating a multi-dimensional educational space for children.
The fact that the two clubs were able to organize this live exchange demonstrates their desire to connect and expand the network of reading communities across the country. This is also an opportunity for local models to learn and share ways to organize, develop sustainably and nurture long-term reading inspiration in each family.

"Summer Meeting" is both a book reading event and a meeting between hearts that beat together for children, for lasting spiritual values and to promote the development of reading culture in a natural and sustainable way.
