On June 28, Vietravel Airlines officially welcomed the first Airbus A321 aircraft under its ownership - marking a strategic step in the journey to develop its own fleet. This narrow-body aircraft of Vietravel Airlines has the registration number VN-A129, with 228 seats, and is expected to be put into operation from early next month.
In July, the airline will acquire two more Airbus A320 aircraft, completing its fleet expansion plan.
When it started operating in January 2021, Vietravel Airlines operated a fleet of 3 leased aircraft of the A320 and A321 families. However, it later maintained only 1 leased aircraft.
With its new fleet, Vietravel Airlines said it will increase the frequency of flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon and international destinations in the region.

Owning a private jet is an important milestone in the restructuring and expansion process of Vietravel Airlines, especially after T&T Group became a strategic shareholder.
According to Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines, owning the Airbus A321 is a strategic step in the roadmap to modernize the fleet, while demonstrating the airline's financial and operational capacity.
Previously, at the 2025 annual general meeting of shareholders, Vietravel Airlines approved the content of increasing charter capital to VND2,600 billion, double the previous figure of VND1,300 billion. The capital increase is expected to be implemented in the first half of 2026.
Notably, at the Vietravel Airlines congress, Mr. Do Quang Vinh, who is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Director of SHB, affirmed that the bank is committed to financially accompanying and becoming a solid resource to support all operational plans of Vietravel Airlines in the coming time.
Vietravel Airlines will effectively utilize resources from T&T Group and Vietravel Group in the next 5 years. The airline aims to expand its fleet flexibly and effectively to meet the increasing demand for passenger and cargo transportation.
