Making digital citizenship education a school year task

According to the Organizing Committee, the highlight of Phuc Thinh is that after the Community Digital Transformation Team was established in each village and residential group, with the core being teachers and students from middle and high schools in the area.

To implement this model, officials, teachers, and students go directly to each household to guide people in installing the application, registering for public services, and making cashless payments.

Head of the Department of Culture and Society (People's Committee of Phuc Thinh Commune) Dang Viet Ha said that this is a practical activity of the locality to implement Directive No. 11 dated July 24, 2025 of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee on implementing the campaign "45 days and nights of launching to support digital transformation activities in communes and wards in the initial phase of operating two-level local government".

After more than a month of implementing the two-tier local government model, Phuc Thinh commune has recorded many positive results in terms of organizational structure, administrative reform, digital transformation and serving the people. Therefore, this model has created a foundation for stable and smooth operation in recent times.

Identifying digital transformation as an inevitable trend, the education sector and the government of Phuc Thinh commune have gone one step ahead, solidifying from the grassroots, so that people can enjoy technology, the government can serve better, and the community can be more connected.

To date, Phuc Thinh commune has established 40 community digital transformation teams in the area. The campaign's goal is to improve the efficiency of government management and operations; improve the quality of services for people and businesses; promote the development of the digital economy , digital society and digital citizens; and ensure that "no one is left behind" in the development process.

Together with the people, the Phuc Thinh commune government also applies document management software and online public services at levels 3 and 4, gradually forming a "Paperless Office". Population, household registration, and social security data are updated and connected synchronously, helping to reduce procedures, shorten the time to process documents, and improve operational efficiency.

To implement the campaign, each village cultural house in Phuc Thinh commune has a free wifi access point installed, serving people to look up information, submit online applications, learn vocational skills and update production knowledge. The commune also organizes a periodic "Digital Transformation Day" to support the elderly and disadvantaged people to access digital utilities...
