At around 12:25 p.m. on June 22, on Malaysia Airlines flight MH752 from Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi , right after the plane landed at Noi Bai airport , passenger NCH (born in 1987, Vietnamese nationality) said there was a "bomb" in his carry-on luggage.
Specifically, when the flight attendant greeted the passenger at the plane door and asked (in English) about the black box that Mr. H. was carrying, he replied that it was a "bomb".
Immediately, the flight crew reported the incident to the authorities. When the passenger got off the plane, Noi Bai International Airport police detained the person to clarify the incident.
Noi Bai International Airport Border Police took the lead in receiving the case and coordinated with relevant parties including: Noi Bai Aviation Security Center, Noi Bai Airport Police Station, Noi Bai International Airport , representatives of Malaysia Airlines and ground service unit VIAGS.
Passenger NCH admitted that due to limited awareness, he made a joking statement.
Noi Bai Aviation Security Center visually inspected the person, carry-on luggage, and checked baggage of passenger NCH. The carry-on bag that the passenger carried was black, rectangular, measuring 40cm x 15cm x 15cm, containing a computer keyboard and mouse. No suspicious content or prohibited objects were detected.
The parties involved wrote a report and made a record of the incident at 3:00 p.m. the same day. The passengers, luggage, and accompanying items were handed over to the Northern Airport Authority.
