Having been attached to the capital Hanoi for more than 7 years, director François Bibonne, a French-Vietnamese, has a special affection for his second homeland. Over the years, he has witnessed the development and change of Hanoi every day, but the capital still retains its thousand-year-old traditional cultural values.
For him, Hanoi is the most beautiful city in Southeast Asia – where he clearly feels the community connection and national pride deeply ingrained in every Vietnamese person.
Sharing his feelings, François Bibonne said he was overwhelmed by the patriotism and national pride of every Vietnamese person. In the atmosphere of the grand celebration, on all the streets, the red flag with yellow star filled the sky, creating the image of the national flag more sacred than ever, evoking emotions in the hearts of every visitor when setting foot in Hanoi.
From these emotions, I appreciate and am grateful to Vietnam even more - the land that gave me the opportunity to be attached, connected and fully feel the sacred value of the Fatherland, François Bibonne confided.

Not only François Bibonne, Mr. Guham, a Swedish national, and his girlfriend, a Greek national, also have similar feelings. Although they have only been in Hanoi for three days, Mr. Guham and his girlfriend seem to have gotten used to the vibrant life here.
For them, Hanoi these days are very special, the atmosphere welcoming the National Day September 2nd of the people is "amazing". "Mr. Guham shared his feelings, asking whether this is a familiar image of life in Hanoi, when everywhere he goes he sees smiles and friendliness from the people.
“I felt really safe, people offered us free beer when we went to see the parade and welcomed us. I felt very happy and have prepared flags for the upcoming anniversary,” said Mr. Guham.

Sharing the same opinion, Ms. Sema from Thailand feels that Hanoi these days is very interesting. She said: "Everything is very good for me, the streets are always crowded with tourists , the food and the street atmosphere are wonderful."
Meanwhile, Alex, from the UK, was impressed by the image of people waving flags to greet the parades and marching groups on the night of the General Training Night on August 21.
Alex expressed his emotion: “It was really a festive atmosphere, like Christmas in London. I saw Hanoi decorated with lights and red flags with yellow stars everywhere. Every time I looked up, I saw rows of red flags with yellow stars fluttering in the sky, it was really beautiful.”
During this time, in addition to participating in cultural and artistic programs, visiting museums and historical sites in Hanoi, foreign tourists also spend a lot of time walking and sightseeing on the streets to enjoy the bustling atmosphere before the National Day holiday on September 2, combined with shopping for gifts and souvenirs.

According to digital travel platform Agoda, during the National Day celebration on September 2 this year, the number of searches for the keyword “Hanoi” from international tourists increased by 84%, while the interest of domestic tourists increased by a record 370% compared to the same period last year.
This not only demonstrates the appeal of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 in the eyes of international friends, but also affirms Vietnam's growing position, becoming an unmissable cultural destination in the region.
