Motivation from a movement

Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: “Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, those who emulate are the most patriotic”, in recent years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province has aroused and strongly promoted the spirit of patriotic emulation, in which the movement “Front cadres follow Uncle Ho's teachings” stands out. This is not only a movement of profound political and social significance, but also becomes an important driving force contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of Quang Ninh.

In the 2020-2025 period, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province launched many emulation campaigns associated with important political events such as the elections of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, the 60th anniversary of the province's founding, or the Fatherland Front Congress at all levels. The movements not only spread throughout the political system but also received positive responses from the people, ethnic groups and religions, creating motivation for patriotic emulation to become practical and closely linked to life.

In the field of socio -economic development, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has launched many campaigns such as "30 days and nights to complete site clearance for the Van Don - Mong Cai expressway project" or "150 days and nights to complete site clearance for the Ha Long - Dong Trieu high-speed riverside road". Through propaganda and mobilization, thousands of households have voluntarily donated land, contributed labor, and promptly handed over the site, contributing to speeding up the progress of key projects and promoting local development.

The movement "Front cadres follow Uncle Ho's teachings" is also clearly demonstrated through social security activities. From 2022 to present, the program "Tet for the poor" has mobilized entirely from socialized resources, giving more than 354,000 gifts worth 220 billion VND to poor and near-poor households. Notably, Quang Ninh has mobilized nearly 158 billion VND to build and repair more than 2,500 Great Solidarity houses, contributing to helping the province become the first locality in the country to complete the program of eliminating all temporary and dilapidated houses.

In the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, the Fatherland Front at all levels has truly become the "common home" of the people. More than 236 billion VND has been mobilized to support the Epidemic Prevention and Control Fund; 15,686 self-managed inter-family groups have been established, promoting their core role in the community. The Fatherland Front also promptly shared with the people of Nghe An, Dien Bien, and Son La to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and solidarity.

A highlight is that the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have accompanied the province in digital transformation. Since 2022, the province has established 1,473 community digital technology teams in 177 communes, wards and towns with more than 11,000 members. These teams guide people to use online public services, popularize digital skills, thereby making Quang Ninh a model of provincial digital transformation.

The emulation movement “Solidarity, creativity, productivity improvement, quality, international integration” has also spread strongly. The whole province has had more than 20,000 initiatives and technical improvements with a total value of over 500 billion VND; tens of thousands of workers and laborers have been commended and rewarded.

To achieve the above results, one of the important factors of the movement is the training and improvement of the quality of the Front cadres. Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has become a habit, closely linked to political tasks. More than 95% of the Front Working Committees in residential areas operate strongly; 100% of the Fatherland Fronts at district and commune levels have achieved the title of strong or excellently strong. This is clear evidence of the practical effectiveness of the movement.

In particular, with the characteristics of a border province, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has also actively built a peaceful and friendly border. Currently, Quang Ninh maintains 11 pairs of twinned residential clusters on both sides of the border, contributing to strengthening international solidarity and people-to-people diplomacy.

It can be affirmed that the movement “Front cadres follow Uncle Ho’s teachings” has been spreading widely, making an important contribution to the implementation of the province’s economic, social, defense and security development goals. The Front cadres at all levels have increasingly affirmed their bravery, intelligence, responsibility, creativity and dedication to the people.
