Attending the celebration and opening ceremony were comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; representatives of the Department of Education and Training, leaders of Muong La commune along with 47 officials, teachers and 1,091 students of all grades.

In the 2024-2025 school year, It Ong Secondary School was evaluated and honored by emulation group No. 7 (old Muong La district) as the leading unit, and proposed to the Provincial People's Committee to award the Emulation Flag. The school actively competes in teaching well, studying well, improving the quality of key education and promoting extracurricular activities and life skills education. As a result, 89.6% of students were classified as having good training, 9.3% of students were classified as having good training, 11.7% of students were classified as having good learning, and 37.2% of students were classified as having good learning. Grade 9 had 24 students winning prizes in the provincial excellent student competition, including 2 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 17 consolation prizes.

In the new school year 2025 - 2026, It Ong Secondary School welcomed 276 students to grade 6, bringing the total number of students to 1,091. Speaking at the ceremony, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee praised the achievements of teachers and students of It Ong Secondary School in the past school year. He suggested that in the 2025-2026 school year, the school continue to comprehensively innovate management and teaching methods towards developing students' capacity and qualities; promote the application of information technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence. At the same time, it is necessary to improve the quality of the management team and teachers; each teacher actively self-study, practice expertise and ethics, and set a good example for students. He suggested that the Party Committee and the government of Muong La commune continue to review and allocate resources to upgrade, repair and build new classrooms, toilets, electricity and clean water systems; ensure that schools are spacious, clean and safe. At the same time, pay attention to rewarding teachers with achievements, mobilize organizations, businesses and philanthropists to support the establishment of a scholarship fund, and award scholarships to poor students. Coordinate with schools and police to ensure traffic safety, prevent social evils and school violence, and create a healthy and safe educational environment for students.
