Announcement of admission floor score
CMC University has just announced the minimum admission scores for 2025, specifically as follows:
Thus, the Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering Technology (Semiconductor Circuit Design) major is the major with the highest floor score at CMC University in 2025, with the score for receiving applications being the score for the admission method based on high school academic results (transcript) or considering high school graduation exam scores.
The school noted that the floor score is considered on a 40-point scale instead of a 30-point scale as in previous years. At the same time, candidates need to clearly distinguish between the concepts of floor score for admission and standard admission score to avoid unfortunate mistakes that affect the choice of wishes.
According to the 2025 university admission regulations, to be officially recognized as admitted to CMC University, candidates need to register their admission wishes from July 16, 2025 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, 2025 on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training .
Expected benchmark decrease
A representative of CMC University said: "Due to changes in the exam questions and admission regulations, we see that there may be a large difference in the exam score range this year. Therefore, it is possible that the school will adjust the benchmark score slightly lower than previous years. CMC University is considering optimal solutions to ensure input quality while still creating the most favorable conditions for candidates."
In particular, in 2025, CMC University will continue to implement the program of giving laptops to new students. Accordingly, candidates will receive laptops if they meet the following conditions:
- Candidates with a total score of 31/40 points in the 1st semester of high school, grade 12 or the entire 12th grade according to the subject combination registered for admission in 2025 or participating in the 2025 Competency Assessment Test of CMC University (CMC-TEST);
- Candidates choose CMC as their first, second, or third choice on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The program of giving laptops to new students has been implemented by the school since 2024.
