The Ministry of Transport has just sent a document to Ho Chi Minh City voters to promptly upgrade and renovate the My Phuoc - Tan Van section to improve traffic capacity and synchronously exploit the entire Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
My Phuoc - Tan Van road is connected to close the traffic of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the investment project to build Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is divided into 8 component projects and assigned to the People's Committees of the provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Long An as the competent agencies to implement the investment.
Of which, there is a section of more than 15km in Binh Duong province that has not been invested in, taking advantage of My Phuoc - Tan Van road to close the Ring Road 3.
Implementing the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, in July 2024, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province issued a document reporting on the investment of a 15.3km section of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 that overlaps My Phuoc - Tan Van road.
This locality proposed to form a new project using the remaining central budget capital from other component projects of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 and supplement the central budget capital to have enough to arrange for project implementation.
Based on the proposal, the Ministry of Transport met with the People's Committee of Binh Duong province and agreed and proposed that local authorities report to the Prime Minister to assign the People's Committee of Binh Duong province to implement the investment in the above section into a new project to operate independently," the Ministry of Transport informed.
