Vienna Symphony Orchestra (Austria) hopes to perform in Vietnam soon

On June 18, Vietnamese Ambassador to Austria Vu Le Thai Hoang had a working session with Mr. Daniel Froschauer, President of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (Wiener Philharmoniker) - one of the most famous and prestigious orchestras in the world.

At the meeting, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang expressed his admiration for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and appreciated the efforts of President Daniel Froschauer and the artists in expanding their touring activities in Asia. The Ambassador emphasized that bringing classical music closer to the public not only contributes to enriching spiritual life but also acts as a cultural bridge, promoting exchanges between countries.

The Ambassador introduced the socio -economic development as well as the increasingly vibrant cultural and artistic life in Vietnam. He specifically mentioned some outstanding symphony orchestras such as the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, the Sun Symphony Orchestra, and international standard performing arts centers such as the Hoan Kiem Theater, the Hanoi Opera House and the National Convention Center. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his hope that the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra will soon tour Vietnam.

Welcoming Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang to the Opera House and Orchestra, Mr. Daniel Froschauer introduced the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1842 in Vienna, which has collaborated with many legendary conductors such as Hans Richter, Gustav Mahler, Karl Böhm and Herbert von Karajan. The orchestra is considered the national musical symbol of Austria. One of the most prominent performances of the orchestra is the New Year's Concert, which is broadcast live to more than 90 countries every morning of January 1 from the Golden Concert Hall of the Vienna Philharmonic.

Mr. Daniel Froschauer affirmed that music always has the noble mission of connecting people, overcoming national boundaries to convey the message of peace and friendship. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra has toured many Asian countries such as Japan, Korea, China and always wishes to perform in Vietnam - a country with rich cultural traditions and a public that loves classical music.

The two sides agreed to continue close exchanges to move towards a plan to organize a tour of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in Vietnam in the near future.
