Ensuring information systems, digital platforms and databases when merging Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces

VHO - On the morning of June 12, the Department of Science and Technology of the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum held a working session to survey, evaluate, and select information systems and shared databases, laying the foundation for a unified and effective e-government after the new province is established.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ngai Nguyen Quoc Huy Hoang said that both provinces are operating separate information systems, databases and specialized management software, built on different technology platforms and structures.

Therefore, integration and synchronization require a detailed and scientific roadmap to ensure continuity and uninterruptedness in directing, operating and handling administrative procedures for people and businesses.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the transfer and consolidation plan for the province's information systems: Official email; integrated data sharing platform (LGSP); provincial electronic information portal; Document management and administration software.

Task management system; administrative procedure settlement information system; administrative procedure settlement result warehouse; reporting information system; open data portal; mobile application serving civil servants and citizens; video conferencing system; paperless meeting room system.

Accordingly, the selection of existing systems, platforms, applications, and databases must ensure both capacity and efficiency, avoid waste, and be suitable for organizing an e-government model in accordance with the Digital Government Architecture according to the Ministry of Science and Technology. Ensure timely addition of necessary subsystems, functions, requirements, and local characteristics.

At the same time, serve the implementation of public duties of cadres, civil servants, and public employees and provide public services in a smooth and continuous manner. Ensure more effective service to people and businesses in the new development stage.

Based on the proposed contents and agreement at the meeting, the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ngai will prepare a report and submit it to the Steering Committee for the arrangement and merger of administrative units of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces for consideration and approval. Based on the opinions of the Steering Committees of the two provinces, the relevant agencies and units will develop a detailed plan for implementation.
