Dak Lak invests more than 8.3 billion VND in vocational training for rural workers

According to the Plan for agricultural vocational training for rural workers in the province in 2025 (referred to as the Plan), Dak Lak aims to train 2,119 workers to build a team of professional farmers to meet the requirements of socio-economic development in the new period.

The specific goal in 2025 is to provide vocational training in agriculture at the elementary level and under 3 months for about 2,119 rural workers in the province. Of which, 642 workers are from poor households, near-poor households, newly escaped poverty households and low-income workers to reduce poverty sustainably; train 1,168 workers in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; and train 309 workers from other groups.

The plan aims to improve the quality of training and vocational skills, contributing to the shift in labor structure, job creation and increasing income for people. Training programs will focus on serving smart agricultural production, ecological agriculture, organic agriculture and digital transformation.

In particular, the Plan will implement vocational training for "Director of agricultural cooperatives" to equip knowledge and management skills for cooperative and cooperative group staff; at the same time, to implement national target programs and a number of programs and projects chaired by the Department of Agriculture and Environment...

To achieve the above objectives, the Plan has proposed many synchronous solutions. Specifically, the province will promote propaganda, vocational training consultancy, and career orientation closely following the local production development trend and market demand. At the same time, vocational training institutions will develop and update new programs and textbooks, suitable for practice, supplementing knowledge on management, application of information technology and production linkage. The capacity of public vocational training institutions will also be enhanced through support for facilities, equipment and training of teachers.

The total estimated budget for implementing the Plan is over VND8.3 billion. Of which, the central budget supports nearly VND7.2 billion from national target programs; the local budget and other legally mobilized sources are over VND1.1 billion.

The Provincial People's Committee has decided to approve this plan and assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of communes and wards to organize and implement it effectively and in accordance with regulations.
