The central political report presented at the congress affirmed that in the past term, the Executive Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Military Party Committee focused on doing a good job of advising, leading, directing, and effectively organizing the implementation of local defense and military tasks, contributing to building a strong national defense and an increasingly solid defense zone.

Agencies and units have effectively made breakthroughs in combat readiness training; the overall quality and combat strength of the provincial armed forces have been improved; the quality of training, regular construction, and discipline training have seen many changes; the work of ensuring logistics, techniques, and finance has achieved good results; the work of building a strong Party in terms of politics, ideology, organization, ethics, and cadres has always been given attention and has had many innovations.
