Highlights of the program "Independence Festival of San Co Region" in Quang Tan commune

Practically celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on August 30, at Bach Van waterfall, Tam Lang village, Quang Tan commune, the program "Independence Tet of San Co region" was held, bringing a festive atmosphere imbued with national identity and unique experiences.

Coming to the program "Independence Festival of San Co Region", people and tourists can enjoy special singing and dancing performances by clubs and schools in the commune.

The vibrant and colorful performances contributed to a bustling festival atmosphere, bringing people closer together.

In addition to the performances, the program also includes many interesting activities such as: ethnic costume performance and San Co cuisine competition with the participation of 12 teams from villages and hamlets in the commune; cockfighting; sightseeing, exploring and experiencing Bach Van Waterfall with 5 layers of cool water; learning about festivals, customs, San Co singing, Soong Co singing; embroidery of pants and shirt hems of the Dao Thanh Phan people; enjoying and shopping for products made by the local people. Local dishes and products are not only attractive in taste but also imbued with regional culture.

Quang Tan commune was established on the basis of merging the original status of 4 previous commune-level administrative units, including: Quang Tan, Duc Yen, Quang Lam and Quang An communes; with 13 ethnic groups living together, of which ethnic minorities account for 55.4%; creating a diverse cultural space, rich in identity; is an important potential and driving force for Quang Tan commune to develop community tourism, sustainable cultural and social economy .

The program "Independence Tet of San Co Region" is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); at the same time, it contributes to realizing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee "on building and promoting cultural values, human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource, a driving force for rapid and sustainable development". This is an opportunity to promote the local image, promote tourism and sustainable economic development.
