Da Nang plans to open tea tour like Bill Gates

(NLDO) - Ban Co Peak on Son Tra Peninsula is where billionaire Bill Gates enjoys tea. Da Nang plans to organize a tour for visitors.

The above plan is included in the draft stimulus program to attract tourists to Da Nang in 2025 recently provided by the city's Department of Tourism .

Among the new products, the city plans to organize a tea tour on Ban Co peak in Son Tra peninsula, Son Tra district, Da Nang city. This is where billionaire Bill Gates once visited and enjoyed tea.

This tour is part of the nature discovery products of the campaign "Da Nang, a new journey of discovery".

Joining the tour, visitors can also see the rare red-shanked douc langur on Son Tra peninsula.

Da Nang City Department of Tourism said that the tea tour at Ban Co peak is a product that emphasizes innovation and introduces high-quality tourism services and products.

The tour's target audience is domestic and foreign tourists.

In early March 2024, billionaire Bill Gates visited Ban Co Peak. During his 60-minute stay, the billionaire sat drinking tea, chatting with tea artisan Hoang Anh Suong, watching Da Nang City at sunset and the lights at Ong Tien chessboard area.

Ban Co Peak is about 10km from the center of Da Nang City. This place is considered the roof of Son Tra Peninsula, with an altitude of about 700m above sea level. From Ban Co Peak, you can see the whole city with high-rise buildings and beaches. This is a place that tourists love when coming to Da Nang City because of the harmonious beauty of nature.
