We came to Lung Cut village, Chi Lang commune, Lang Son province in early August and saw a lot of fruit trees. Along both sides of the concrete road, rau bo khai is planted in custard apple gardens, corn gardens, and along the edge of the green forest... Rau bo khai used to grow naturally under the canopy of other trees on the mountain. Now brought to the garden, the plant is very easy to grow, easy to care for with low investment costs. Rau bo khai can be harvested after 1 year of planting, the harvest time is long, the economic value is high with a selling price of 40 to 80 thousand VND/kg. Currently, Lung Cut village has planted more than 30 hectares, achieving a yield of over 60 tons/year. A typical example is the household of veteran Vi Van Giang, planting nearly 2 hectares, earning an income of 80 to 120 million VND/year.

Veteran Vi Van Giang is just one of the typical examples in the movement of veterans doing good business, helping each other reduce poverty and become rich sustainably in Lang Son province. According to the report, in the area there are hundreds of models of household economic development, cooperatives owned by veterans, such as: Veteran Trieu Tien Minh, Dong Sung village, Ai Quoc commune, Loc Binh district is the pioneer in bringing yellow camellia trees to plant and succeed. Veteran Hoang Van Khim, Khon Tau village, Lien Hoi commune successfully built a model of raising chickens under the canopy of anise forest, bringing in high income...

Along with the interest in developing the strengths of each region, the Veterans Association of Lang Son province always pays attention to propagating and mobilizing members to apply science and technology in production. The Association coordinates with functional departments to organize 20 training courses to improve knowledge and farming techniques; many visits to economic models inside and outside the province.
