The Russian Armed Forces (RFAF) continued to attack across the entire front; Russian soldiers, regardless of what was happening in the rear, continued to carry out combat missions. Motorized infantry units of the RFAF Army Group Center, which had gained control of several square kilometers on the Pokrovsk-Konstantinovka road, advanced north of Novoolenivka. Thanks to the successful advance along both banks of the Bychok River, the bridgehead area was expanded west of the village of Yablonivka. There was progress on another section north of the T0405 highway in the direction of the village of Rusyn Yar. The distance from the RFAF forward units on this front to the outskirts of Konstantinovka was about 9 km.
At the same time, the distance to the city of Konstantinovka is also shortening to the southeast, where Russian troops recently raised a flag over the village of Dyleevka, less than 8 km from the city. The third direction of the RFAF's attack on Konstantinovka is from the northeast, towards the city of Chasov Yar, when currently about 95% of the city is controlled by the RFAF. In this direction, the distance to Konstantinovka is about 4 km. Thus, the protective belt of Konstantinovka continues to narrow. The Ukrainian Deep State channel reported that Russian troops also broke the "encirclement" south of Konstantinovka, captured the villages of Stara Mykolaivka and Gnativka and entered Zorya; directly putting pressure on the defense line south of Konstantinovka, in the area of the Kleban-Byk reservoir. Deep State also reported that in the extreme south of Donetsk Oblast, Russian troops advanced from the southeast to the outskirts of the village of Komar, capturing part of the village of Fedorovka (Russia officially announced today that it had captured the entire village). For several days now, public opinion in both Russia and Ukraine has known about the fighting in Komar - an important fortified area of the AFU, guarding the gateway to the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Russia's Rybar channel reported that units of the Vostok Group are preparing to attack Komar. This is an important AFU stronghold on the Ugledar defense line, located in the Donetsk defense arc. The Vostok Group is actively preparing for combat, taking control of this settlement extremely carefully, trying to minimize losses. For the time being, the Vostok Group is fighting the enemy to gain control of the villages around Komar. First, the shock units of the Vostok Group are approaching Komar from the east, then from the south. On the outskirts of Komar, battles are taking place between the RFAF and the AFU. The day before, the Vostok Group had taken control of the village of Fedorovka. According to a soldier of the Vostok Group codenamed "Husky", who provided information to war correspondents of the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, the assault units of the Vostok Group crossed the river during a heavy rainstorm and secretly approached the village.
According to Husky, it took his unit 3-4 days to capture Fedorovka. “Our unit moved secretly close to the village, hid in the reeds and stayed there for two days. In fact, the enemy’s defenses, concentrated on Komar, helped us to quickly complete the task.” Topwar reported that Russian troops took control of the southeastern part of the village of Komar; specifically, the residential area of the village, causing the Ukrainian defenders here to lose their relatively solid fortifications, as well as trenches, gun emplacements, shelters, etc. At present, the Ukrainian troops in Komar have retreated north of the village, through Shkolnaya Street, which is the main road of the village, connecting the village of Fedorivka (overrun by the Russians) with the H15 highway. At present, the Ukrainian troops in Komar can only retreat north, because to the west is the Mokrye Yaly River. Although the river is not wide, and it is summer, the Ukrainian soldiers can swim across; but it is also an unsafe route of retreat.
Not far west of Komar, the Vostok Group is also advancing to take control of the village of Alekseyevka, north of Bogatyr, on the T0428 road. The Deep State channel reported that Russian troops have entered the Troitskoye area and are now only 560 meters from the front line to the border of the Dnepropetrovsk region. Thus, the Vostok Group in this direction is close to the Dnepropetrovsk region.
