On May 19, the professional teams of District 1 Police (HCMC) coordinated with the police of several wards to conduct an inspection at Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Limited, headquartered in a 33-storey building at 37 Ton Duc Thang Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1.
From morning to afternoon, the police and local forces were present at the building. A working group went in to work and check inside. The police recorded statements from a number of employees and managers of Shinhan Company.
According to information from District 1 Police, this is a regular administrative inspection of financial companies located in the area, not a search. Shinhan Finance Company's operations include unsecured loans, consumer loans, etc., so the police inspected it.
Currently, under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security , Ho Chi Minh City Police and provinces and cities across the country are focusing on fighting against black credit, including many groups of loan sharks, debt collection, debt trading... hiding under the guise of financial companies and law offices.
Since the beginning of the year, Ho Chi Minh City Police have dismantled many gangs and prosecuted dozens of people involved in usury in civil transactions and property extortion.
