“National Concert” Spreads Pride

Not only are there music festivals that serve purely entertainment purposes, a series of large-scale performances, commonly called "national concerts" by young people, are continuously held, attracting tens of thousands of spectators in each program.

Instead of just going “Idol chasing”, the public, especially young people, eagerly invite each other to hunt for tickets to see art programs celebrating the country’s great holiday – programs that bring new and impressive musical experiences, while at the same time awakening and spreading pride and love for the homeland and country.

“Emotional explosion” is the general opinion of most viewers of the series of art programs celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, held in Hanoi in recent days.

Right after the success of the art program “Fatherland in the Heart” - “national concert” which set many records in terms of viewership, number of people singing the national anthem and coverage of the red flag with yellow star in the art program at My Dinh National Stadium, the audience continued to have another similar program - “Proud to be Vietnamese”.

Each program is a music festival, attracting tens of thousands of participants.

In addition to the 30,000 ticket holders, the event also attracted a large number of other live viewers. The reason is that before the show, people continued to flock to the stadium square, so the Organizing Committee decided to open the gates for the audience to freely enter. My Dinh National Stadium continues to promise to become a "hot spot" in another concert, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the night of September 1 - "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness".

Echoes from previous programs, the bustling atmosphere welcoming the grand ceremony and information about a series of famous artists who will appear such as My Tam, Tung Duong, Meritorious Artist Thanh Lam, Den, MONO, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Trong Tan... made the ticket hunting atmosphere "feverish". When tens of thousands of people can sing together in a Vietnamese song, that is a unique beauty of the program.

Cao Trung Hieu has staged many concerts and large music festivals in Vietnam as well as internationally, but this is the first time he has been able to join a major national holiday in a concert organized by Vietnam Television. Recognizing the positive effects of the “national concerts”, cultural management agencies at all levels have become increasingly active. Most recently, the Government Office issued a document conveying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s direction on researching and proposing plans to organize concerts in the coming time.

Specifically, from the very good social effects of the recent concerts, the Prime Minister requested the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the General Directors of Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, and Vietnam News Agency based on their functions, tasks, authority and legal regulations to urgently study and report to the Prime Minister on a plan to maintain and promote the concerts.

Accordingly, the concerts have innovative content, encourage the creativity of artists and program makers, apply modern performance technology and research the name "Vietnam Spirit Festival", choose suitable regions, provinces and cities to organize concerts at appropriate times, creating effects and positive energy for the whole nation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested that there be no situation of taking advantage of organizations that do not ensure quality, violate regulations, violate traditional customs, and negatively affect the cultural environment and cultural and spiritual life of the people.
