Highland teacher is enthusiastic about her job

With her efforts in self-study and professional development, Ms. Nhung not only quickly mastered the new program but also achieved remarkable results: 20 students won district-level excellent student awards, 15 students won provincial-level excellent student awards in Civic Education and History. She has inspired and given wings to dreams for many generations of students here.

Ms. Nhung is currently the Head of the Social Science Professional Group, Secretary of the Social Science Party Cell; teaches Civic Education and History to students in grades 7 and 8, and is also responsible for teaching Economics and Law to students in grades 10, 11, and 12; she is also the "steerer" of the school's excellent student team in Civic Education and History. The "part-time" job is not easy, especially when she used to be a Civic Education teacher at the junior high school level. However, with a sense of responsibility and love for the job, Ms. Nhung did not hesitate to face the challenge.

Understanding the difficulties, she proactively studied by herself, researched documents, and participated in professional training courses organized by the Department of Education and Training. She also did not hesitate to register for additional advanced courses to catch up with the requirements of the new Civic Education program oriented towards developing students' qualities and abilities. At the same time, she regularly exchanged and learned experiences from other high school teachers in the professional group, and participated in inter-school and school cluster professional activities. Those efforts were duly rewarded when she quickly mastered the necessary knowledge and skills, meeting the teaching requirements at the high school level. Her lectures were also increasingly lively, attractive, and close, attracting students.

Not only is she good at her subject, Ms. Nhung is also a dedicated teacher, always giving love and special care to ethnic minority students. She understands that they come from poor rural areas and have limited learning conditions. Therefore, she always tries to innovate teaching methods to create excitement for students in each lesson.

Her Civic Education lessons not only provide theoretical knowledge but also involve ethical issues, laws, and life skills that are relevant to the realities of the highlands. She integrates knowledge with practical examples, helping students easily absorb and apply them to life.

The flexible transformation and adaptation of teacher Nhung has contributed significantly to maintaining the stability of the team, ensuring the quality of teaching in the context of the school's difficulties in human resources. The annual graduation results of Civic Education always achieve the highest results among the school's graduation subjects. Compared to schools in the whole province, there were years when it ranked 2nd out of 36 high schools.

In the work of nurturing excellent students, Ms. Nhung has achieved many proud achievements. Students of the Civic Education team at the district and provincial levels under her charge have all won prizes. From the 2021-2022 school year to the 2024-2025 school year, 20 students won prizes at the district level, 15 students won prizes at the provincial level in Civic Education and History. These achievements are a testament to her solid professional capacity and dedication to nurturing excellent students.
