Hue Club has only 16 points after 20 matches and is ranked 11th out of 11 teams participating in the 2024-2025 National First Division. Hue has 16 points with Hoa Binh Club but lost both previous matches.

Hue Club is also at a disadvantage as Hoa Binh Club still has a match to play on June 21. Therefore, the 1-0 victory over Ho Chi Minh City Youth Club on the afternoon of June 14 is only of honorable significance for Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung and his team.

The last goal of the 2024-2025 season that Hue FC scored was by player number 15 Nguyen Huu Tuan. The player born in 2005 was very sad after the match. He said that the victory was to show gratitude to the audience.

Huu Tuan explained: "This year, Hue Club has encountered many difficulties in terms of personnel. There are many young players but little experience in competition and they face many difficulties. The biggest regret is that we could not help Hue stay in the league successfully."

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Club lost but has already secured its place in the league. Coach Tran Duy Quang and his team have 20 points and are temporarily in 5th place. The team has one more match left to play when they meet Khanh Hoa in round 20 on June 21.

The penultimate round, taking place at the same time, also witnessed the "reverse final" at Long An Stadium. Long An had a late victory over Hoa Binh Club with a score of 2-1, thereby Long An stayed in the league one round early.

Hoa Binh Club was a bit shocked after losing to Long An in the last minute. However, as mentioned above, coach Le Quoc Vuong and his team stayed in the league thanks to a better head-to-head record than their opponents against Hue and having one match left to play.

Thus, after 12 consecutive years of competing in the National First Division (V-League 2), Hue Football Club had to be relegated to the second division. In the 2013 season, Hue won the right to be promoted to the National First Division.
