On the morning of July 8, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club announced two new Brazilian contracts for the 2025-2026 season.
formation, the mountain town team signed a contract with striker Gabriel da Conceiçao (born in 2001) and defensive midfielder Khevin Fraga (1997) after passing the medical examination.
Gabriel plays mainly as a striker but can also play as a winger when needed. This 1m84 tall striker grew up at Botafogo's training center and has played for Brazilian clubs such as CRB, Figueirense and Marica.
Gabriel impressed with his technique, speed and intelligent positioning. In the 2024–2025 season, he played more than 20 matches, scoring 3 goals and 1 assist for Boavista.
Coach Le Quang Trai hopes that Gabriel's presence can be a good replacement for the withdrawn striker Washington Brandao - who scored 6 goals after 16 appearances in the 2024-2025 V-League.
Meanwhile, Khevin Fraga is 1m92 tall, can play as a central midfielder or center back with his strong playing style and good ball control.

Before coming to Vietnam, Fraga played for Hibernians Club (Malta), played 33 matches, scored 5 goals, 4 assists and won the 2024 Malta National Cup with the team.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club hopes that Fraga's presence will help the team strengthen its defense and increase the quality of its midfield after saying goodbye to midfielders Dung Quang Nho, Chau Ngoc Quang and Minh Vuong.
With two new Brazilian players, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club now has four Samba players in the squad, in addition to central defender Jairo Filho and midfielder Marciel Silva who were retained last season.
Not to mention, the Pleiku team has just brought in Brazilian goalkeeper coach Higor Felliny Cruz to train the goalkeepers and goalkeeper coaches of the first team and youth teams.
The 2025-2026 season will not be easy for Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
Struggling to avoid relegation, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club still ranked 9th in V-League 2024-2025 with 29 points after 26 matches.
But the new 2025-2026 season promises to be difficult for coach Le Quang Trai and his team after they have said goodbye to 5 key domestic players and will use many young players they have trained. Therefore, the 4 Brazilian players are expected to be the mainstay of the team.
