NESCAFÉ Plan honoured with top honours at Human Act Prize 2024

Surpassing 128 quality projects in the preliminary round, and 32 excellent projects in the final round, the NESCAFÉ Plan program was honored in the Human Act Prize "Award of the Year" category for programs with great impact, creating long-term value for the community and the environment. This recognition is not only an honor, but also proof of the practical values that NESCAFÉ Plan has brought.

In its journey of more than 13 years accompanying farmers, Nestlé has conducted hundreds of thousands of technical training sessions, coaching sessions on sustainable coffee cultivation, and provided support and digital management tools for farmers to proactively practice regenerative agriculture, effectively manage their households, and contribute to building a sustainable future. At the same time, through the female farmer group leader development program, the program has contributed to promoting women's empowerment and gender equality in the community and in the value chain. To date, the NESCAFÉ Plan has connected with 21,000 farming households, helping them increase their income by 30 to 100%.

Mr. Khuat Quang Hung, Director of External Affairs and Communications of Nestlé Vietnam said: We set out a mission to closely accompany coffee farmers to help them cope with increasingly severe climate change, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve their livelihoods. In particular, NESCAFÉ Plan helps farmers understand that they are a sustainable link in the global value chain. Above all, the program will continue to expand to 2030 and beyond, for a prosperous Vietnam and a more sustainable planet.
