Truc Lam Hung Quoc Pagoda organizes Vu Lan Festival of filial piety in 2025

On August 31, at Truc Lam Hung Quoc Pagoda, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province solemnly held the Vu Lan Festival 2025. Attending the ceremony were leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province, along with a large number of monks, nuns and Buddhists inside and outside the province.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates and Buddhists attended many traditional Buddhist rituals, such as: chanting repentance sutras, praying for blessings, offering flowers, commemorating Vu Lan and especially the rose pinning ceremony - a sacred symbol of gratitude, appreciation and deep love for parents.

Vu Lan is one of the major Buddhist festivals, held annually from the first to the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month. This is an opportunity for each child to express their filial piety to their parents, remember and show gratitude for their upbringing; at the same time, commemorate national heroes and martyrs. The festival also contributes to spreading the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", fostering the tradition of filial piety and preserving the cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people.

The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province received congratulatory flowers from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
