Traveloka app now serves over 40 million monthly users with a comprehensive travel ecosystem. Chairman Caesar Indra said he is willing to face the risk of default to develop digital credit services, supporting customers to buy now and pay later.
Traveloka has integrated flight booking, hotel booking, car rental booking, and even spa, playground, and domestic entertainment tickets. Amid a shrinking middle class in Indonesia, the company is still growing thanks to a flexible credit strategy.
Headquartered in Singapore, Traveloka currently operates in eight countries, most recently Japan and soon South Korea. CEO Indra affirmed that Indonesia is still the focus, but Southeast Asia is the long-term "strategic gateway". Despite laying off 10% of its staff during the pandemic, the company has been profitable since 2023 and is currently cash flow positive.
Experts say Traveloka has a competitive advantage if it continues to optimize its direct relationships with hotels and carriers. Dear readers, please watch more videos : Breakthrough in the humanoid robot revolution | VTV24
