Bamboo Capital Group Chairman Suddenly Passes Away

Mr. Kou Kok Yiow (Chris), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Capital Group (BCG), suddenly passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 63. Mr. Kou Kok Yiow had been Chairman of BCG since April 2024.

On March 17,Bamboo Capital Group announced that Mr. Kou Kok Yiow (Chris) - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Capital Group Joint Stock Company (BCG) - suddenly passed away on March 8, 2025 due to a heart attack, at the age of 63.

The funeral was held in Singapore.

Bamboo Capital Group said that Mr. Kou Kok Yiow has been with Bamboo Capital since its inception and has held positions as an advisor and member of the Board of Supervisors. On April 27, 2024, he was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of this enterprise.

Bamboo Capital expressed gratitude for the contributions and values ​​that the late Chairman of the Board of Directors Kou Kok Yiow brought to the group.

Mr. Kou Kok Yiow became the chairman of Bamboo Capital to replace Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam, at that time Mr. Nam said he resigned to move to a new position as chairman of the strategic board of Bamboo Capital, and Mr. Nam also held the position of vice chairman of the board of directors of Eximbank.

Recently, Bamboo Capital Group said that on February 28, the enterprise was notified by the competent authority about the decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the defendant Nguyen Ho Nam.

According to Bamboo Capital, as of April 27, 2024, Mr. Nam has resigned and no longer holds positions on the board of directors, supervisory board and executive board of the company. "The company's production and business activities continue to operate normally," a representative of Bamboo Capital informed.

The company also affirmed that regarding issues related to this incident, they will disclose information transparently in accordance with the law to protect the rights of shareholders.

Recently, Bamboo Capital also announced the decision of the board of directors on personnel changes. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam resigned from the position of general director and legal representative, for the reason of focusing on performing new tasks.
