Actively prevent and fight forest fires

The City Forest Protection Department has just issued a forest fire forecast bulletin. Accordingly, from now until June 29, Da Nang will experience widespread heat waves, many consecutive dry days, and the risk of forest fires is at level IV (dangerous level, with the possibility of widespread forest fires).

The Sub-Department requests the People's Committees of districts, wards and communes to closely monitor the implementation of forest fire prevention and fighting measures; strictly prohibit the use of fire to treat the ground cover. Forest rangers and forest management boards inform agencies, units and communities in forested areas about forest fire forecasts; prepare human resources, means and tools for forest fire fighting; promptly report forest fire situations to the People's Committees of districts and the Sub-Department of Forestry. At the same time, monitor and inspect forest owners in complying with regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting; coordinate with management boards of eco- tourism areas to monitor and remind visitors to pay attention to safety in using fire when visiting and traveling in the forest; strictly handle violations of forest fire prevention and fighting.
