Cho Moi completes program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

The Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Cho Moi District said that with the focused leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the district has completed the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area according to the planned schedule.

Handing over houses to households

Specifically, for households with meritorious services to the revolution, 65/66 households have completed (7 households built new, 58 households repaired), reaching a rate of 98.48% in 16 communes and towns (1 household agreed to temporarily suspend). The total cost is more than 2.72 billion VND, of which the budget is 1.5 billion VND, the family contributed more than 1.13 billion VND, the rest was mobilized from society and 427 working days.

For poor and near-poor households, 156/159 households have completed the project, reaching 98.11% of the plan (133 new houses built, 23 houses repaired) in 14 communes and towns (3 households voluntarily did not continue to participate in the program). The total cost is 11.35 billion VND, of which 8.61 billion VND is from the Fund Mobilization Committee for the Poor of the district and province, more than 2.21 billion VND is contributed by the family, the rest is mobilized from social resources and 1,844 working days.

In addition to the approved list, the District and Commune Steering Committees also mobilized support to build 55 more houses (including 49 new houses and 6 repaired houses), with a total cost of more than 2.85 billion VND... Thereby, contributing to the province's implementation of the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, launched by the Prime Minister; "leaving no one behind", helping households settle down, confidently develop the economy , and improve their lives.
