According to the Department of Home Affairs, Dong Nai is one of the localities with a high number of occupational accidents, often in the top 5 nationwide. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the whole province had 318 occupational accidents, injuring 329 people, including 9 occupational accidents that killed 11 people. Occupational accidents not only cause loss of life and family but also affect production, business reputation and social stability.

In particular, the main cause of these tragic accidents is that employers do not develop safe working procedures and measures, and do not organize occupational safety and health training. Machinery does not ensure safe working conditions, and personal protective equipment for workers is inadequate. This situation poses a problem for state management agencies in managing occupational safety and health at enterprises.

To reduce occupational accidents and diseases, the Department of Home Affairs organized a workshop for businesses to share difficulties and obstacles in implementing occupational safety and health regulations. Thereby, the Department recorded the current situation to have solutions to ensure occupational safety and health, limiting the occurrence of serious occupational accidents.
