“A beautiful story, a good book, a shining example every week” is a theme implemented by the Da Nang City Youth Union throughout schools during the 2025-2026 school year.

On Monday morning, after the flag-raising ceremony according to the Team's ritual, Pham Phu Thu Primary School (Nong Son commune) organized monthly themed experiential activities.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung - Principal of the school said, in parallel with teaching, during flag salute period, the school organizes to introduce good and useful books for students to read.

From there, help students access many types of books, form a passion for books to expand knowledge, practice life skills and nurture the soul.

The school also built a friendly library model “Room to Read”. This is the place to return to for those who love books and newspapers. The library has an area of ​​100m2 with more than 800 books, the shelves are arranged according to the color of each grade, scientifically arranged, with a reference corner, drawing corner, games, with many categories and arranged systematically for students to easily find and exchange.

Entering the library space, students are very excited, the reading movement in schools has also spread widely.

Also in Nong Son commune, recently, the community bookshelf program "Repaying back" in Ho Chi Minh City held a launching ceremony for the bookshelf "Repaying back" at Nguyen Dinh Hien Primary School, awarded 10 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, donated a medicine cabinet and many impressive book experience activities.

At Kim Dong Primary School (Thang Binh Commune), students can play the role of characters from textbooks and tell stories about their favorite books. Students also participate in activities to give books to poor students and other interesting experiences related to books to encourage them to love reading, thereby contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools.

To inspire reading culture, help spread knowledge and nurture the souls of the young generation, Nguyen Chi Thanh Primary & Secondary School (Thu Bon Commune) established the "Creating Reading Culture" Club.

Mr. Pham Phu Cuong - Head of the school's Youth Union said: "I participated in the reading culture building skills courses of the Education Vietnam organization.

From there, I want to introduce good books to nourish the soul, improve knowledge and stimulate imagination and creativity for teenagers and children.

Not stopping at just reading, to create many positive changes in developing students' reading culture, schools have flexibly organized many effective models such as drawing, writing, storytelling, and performing skits.

This new form is a way to remind and encourage children to touch books to "enter the era of national growth with books".
