The girl, surnamed Zhang, from Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, graduated from China University of Mining and Technology three years ago, but has not found a job, amid China's high unemployment rate.
"I'm very nervous about the fall job hunting season. I've applied to many places, but haven't received any interview invitations yet," Truong said.
That was when her boyfriend, a PhD student at Zhejiang University, came up with a unique idea to lift her spirits, SCMP reported on October 6. He “founded” a virtual company called Yeu Vo and sent her a “job offer.”
"We are pleased to announce that you have passed the company's interview round with excellent personal qualities and abilities," the invitation letter said. "You will be accepted into the Yeu Vo company as CEO. Welcome to the Yeu Vo family."

The “start date” is September 29, which is also the couple’s engagement day. “Before attending the welcoming party, please accept the items we provide: bridal gown, jewelry, engagement ring, and wedding ring.”
The letter also stated that the "company" would provide shared accommodation, and instructed Truong to contact the "human resources manager" if he had any questions.
"When I received the letter, I felt a little funny, but also very touched," Truong shared. "Sometimes I feel like time is always rushing, while I'm not ready. Although failure is common, I am very grateful to have a boyfriend who always finds ways to make me feel better."
The story of this unique "job acceptance letter" quickly spread on Chinese social networks.
"What a wonderful boyfriend, so romantic," one person commented. "Seeing others happy makes me happy too. Wishing you two a long life together."
