Iker Casillas has reacted angrily on social media after repeatedly making headlines over the past few weeks with rumours of an affair.

Casillas is one of the most talked about public figures, mostly because of his personal life and love life, something he doesn't like at all and on Tuesday he made that clear on social media.

The former Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper hopes to put an end to speculation about his private life with this statement. He wrote on August 19: “In recent weeks, unfortunately, I have been made the main character of shows that I have no interest in. That’s how it is in this country. The less you like to appear, the more people exploit you.”

Over the past few months, a series of names have appeared in the media and on social networks, putting Casillas at the center of a storm of rumors. It all started with Claudia Bavel, then Sandra Madoc and then Colombian girl Juliana Pantoja. Juliana herself even called him a “liar” when denying a relationship with her.

According to Omar Suárez – a contributor to the Social Club column of the morning show – he once received an email from a girl who claimed to be Casillas' "official girlfriend".

The girl, named Isabella Ricardo Benito, confirmed in an email that she was dating Casillas and that the former Real Madrid goalkeeper was even considering proposing to her. However, during the live broadcast, Isabella contacted Alejandra Prat to deny all the information given by the reporter.

Looking back, Casillas said with dismay that when he went to find out why he was involved in the scandal, reporters replied: 'Iker, mentioning you will increase the audience. Posting news about you on different platforms will make people click on the link'.

Casillas admitted: "I'm going crazy! They do it just to have those stupid things! No comparison, no verification. It's crazy!"
