By 2030, Can Tho city strives to establish 40-60 more science and technology enterprises, creating a driving force to promote innovation, develop a knowledge-based economy and enhance competitiveness.

Can Tho aims to annually issue new or adjust and supplement certificates for 7-10 science and technology enterprises.

The People's Committee of Can Tho City has just issued a Plan to support the development of science and technology enterprises until 2030. Accordingly, the plan sets the goal that the Department of Science and Technology of the city will annually issue new or adjust and supplement certificates for 7-10 science and technology enterprises.

To achieve the goal, the city has deployed many groups of tasks, focusing on propaganda, training, and coaching; organizing seminars, building manuals, developing columns on the Electronic Information Portal to disseminate policies, incentives, and introduce typical science and technology business models.

Regularly survey, evaluate and advise on operational status, support potential businesses, especially innovative startups.

Completing the dossier for certifying science and technology enterprises; organizing technical innovation and startup competitions; operating startup spaces and co-working spaces connecting students, businesses and startups.

Implement preferential policies on tax, credit, land, import and export; support costs for using laboratories, testing rooms, and shared research equipment; facilitate access to preferential loan sources.

Annually evaluate technological capacity, and select and nominate typical science and technology enterprises to participate in prestigious city and national awards.

This shows the determination of Can Tho city in building an innovation ecosystem, promoting the strong development of science and technology enterprises, contributing to the sustainable development of the city in the new period.
