"If we want the Southeast region's economy to make a breakthrough, the private economic sector needs to be energized and all barriers removed to explode," said Ms. Pham Thi Bich Hue - Vice President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association - at the Vietnam Private Economic Forum 2025 (VPSF 2025) Southeast region.

On the afternoon of August 22 in Ho Chi Minh City, within the framework of the forum, a dialogue round was also held with the theme "Promoting innovation and integration of the private sector in the digital age". The dialogue round gathered 200 delegates representing leaders of agencies, departments, localities, experts and the business community and private enterprises in the region.

Ms. Hue said that many petitions had been sent to the VPSF 2025 local dialogue round, emphasizing that this was an important opportunity for businesses to participate in dialogue and contribute policy ideas.

Speaking at the opening of the dialogue session, the head of the VPSF 2025 Organizing Committee emphasized the businesses' sentiment that the gap between policy and practice still exists, but Vietnamese businesses always have the aspiration to rise up.

Accordingly, the business community has the mission of turning strategic resolutions, including Resolution 57, Resolution 59, Resolution 66, Resolution 68 into action and practical values.

Ms. Hue also mentioned the urgent demands of businesses that need the government to accompany and share, such as removing institutional bottlenecks, cutting administrative procedures, encouraging and supporting innovation, digital transformation...

"Above all, we need a spirit of regional and business cooperation. Because only when working together can the business community go far and sustainably," Ms. Hue added.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Thi - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City - also called on businesses to contribute more ideas to the policy, as the localities under the new Ho Chi Minh City are all the most dynamic growth poles of the Southeast region, but also have a situation of unsynchronized development.

"To perfect the policies and institutions and the stature of Ho Chi Minh City in the future. We want to hear sharing and suggestions in the context of localities having development situations with their own strengths and not yet synchronized," Mr. Thi called.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Pham Phu Truong, deputy director of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City, recommended that Vietnamese enterprises need to understand that institutions and policies will be important resources for the development of each enterprise.

"We need to understand the institutions and policies and contribute to them to benefit from them," Mr. Truong emphasized.

The organizers said that the opinions, initiatives and suggestions at the Southeast cluster dialogue session will be synthesized with the results from other local clusters to form a policy recommendation report, presented at the ministerial dialogue session and the VPSF 2025 High-level Session taking place in Hanoi in September 2025.

The results of VPSF 2025 will be compiled and published in the "Vietnam Private Economic White Book 2025", with specific and practical policy recommendations sent to the Government , ministries and localities.
