Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard donated 100 million VND to support the people of Cuba

(GLO)- On the morning of September 4, the Border Guard Command of Gia Lai province launched a program to support the Cuban people in difficulty with the theme "65 years of Vietnam-Cuba friendship".

Cuba is the pioneer country in establishing diplomatic relations with Vietnam and has always been at the forefront of the international movement to support Vietnam's struggle for national liberation and nation building.

Speaking at the program, Colonel Doan Ngoc Bau - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard - emphasized: The Vietnam-Cuba relationship is a special friendship, symbolizing the solidarity between two nations sharing the same ideals of independence, freedom and socialism.

In the current context, when the Cuban people are facing many difficulties due to the economic crisis and the severe impact of natural disasters, the support program is a practical action, demonstrating the deep affection and responsibility of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard.

At the program, officers and soldiers of agencies and units under the Provincial Border Guard Command voluntarily contributed 100 million VND.
