Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet is Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, was appointed by the Politburo as Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On the afternoon of September 6, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee held a conference to announce the Decision of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat on personnel work in Da Nang City.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided to appoint Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The conference also announced the decision of the Central Party Secretariat on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and to be introduced for election to the position of Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet was appointed as Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee after Mr. Nguyen Van Quang was transferred and appointed by the Prime Minister as Permanent Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet was born in 1976. His hometown is Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province (old), now Nam Phuoc commune, Da Nang city.

Mr. Triet has a high level of political theory, professional qualifications: Master of Business Administration, silicate technology engineer.

Mr. Triet has held many positions at the Da Nang City Youth Union and later held the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union.

In 2013, Mr. Triet was Secretary of Lien Chieu District Party Committee, Da Nang City.

He then successively held the positions of Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, Chief of Office of the Da Nang City Party Committee, and Secretary of the Hai Chau District Party Committee (Da Nang City).

At the first meeting of the XXII Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2020-2025, held in October 2020, Mr. Triet was elected as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee. In December 2020, Mr. Triet was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Council.

In January 2021, at the 13th National Congress of the Party, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet was elected as an alternate member of the Party Central Committee.

In January 2024, he was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

From July 1, 2025, when Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province merged to form the new Da Nang City, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet was appointed by the Central Government as Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
