"The departments have responded and promised to the ward, so they must remember to fulfill it. Don't be like the song 'Promise a lot, break a lot'. If you can't do something, don't promise it" - Secretary Tran Luu Quang opened the conclusion of the meeting with Binh Duong ward on September 17.
One of the contents proposed by Binh Duong ward and answered by the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training at the meeting was the construction of more schools and adding teachers.
To meet the needs of increasing population, especially with the characteristics of the ward having many industrial zones and many immigrants.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang requested departments, including the Department of Finance, to pay attention and allocate resources to build more schools and add teachers not only for Binh Duong ward but also the remaining areas of the former Binh Duong province and the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
Mr. Quang said that the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City agreed that after the merger of the three provinces and cities, any good practice would be applied and replicated in the remaining areas. Regarding education, Ho Chi Minh City set a target of 300 classrooms for every 10,000 people of school age (from 3 to 18 years old).
Currently, the old Ho Chi Minh City area has reached 297 classrooms/10,000 people, while the old Binh Duong and old Ba Ria - Vung Tau areas have this target still low. Ho Chi Minh City needs to focus resources to meet the needs of schools and teachers to meet the needs of people in these areas.

"I have strong faith that this land will develop" - Secretary Tran Luu Quang said. He assessed Binh Duong ward as a unique ward, with a well-planned plan, completely capable of being built into a typical science and technology development ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City, gathering investors, start-up projects...
The working session of the delegation chaired by Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang at the Binh Duong Ward Party Committee "ended early". The meeting started at around 2:30 p.m. and ended a few minutes after 4 p.m.
True to the spirit of the opening directive of the working session by Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang, representatives of the city's departments and branches were invited to speak in turn, but they went straight to the point and were concise, thereby saving time for the meeting.
Acknowledging that Binh Duong ward has done quite well in its assigned tasks, Mr. Quang requested that the ward needs to promote the advantage of having many industrial, urban and service zones, and needs to be proactive in attracting socialized resources for development...
At the same time, Binh Duong ward needs to continue to maintain security and order, closely following the grassroots. Thereby attracting investors, people can feel secure to come and do business.
Regarding departments and branches, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee requested that if the commune and ward levels cannot do some tasks, the city's departments and branches must organize working groups to go down to the grassroots to help, and at the same time provide guidance to the communes and wards.
He gave an example of large projects, highways passing through a commune or ward, maybe the commune or ward officials are not yet able to meet the requirements of site clearance and land acquisition... Departments and branches must promptly send people down to guide, train, and accompany the commune or ward to complete the task.
