According to the captain of fishing boat QNg 96678 TS, on September 4, while fishing about 3 nautical miles northwest of Da Nam island, fisherman Nguyen Duc Quang ( Quang Ngai province) was a worker on the boat and dived 3 shifts (from 6 to 8 am; 11 to 1 pm; 3 to 5 pm, depth from 40 to 43m). At the end of the day after diving, Mr. Quang showed signs of severe decompression, deep coma, and paralysis of both lower limbs. Although fishermen on the boat helped him re-pressurize many times, his condition did not improve. On the morning of September 5, the patient was taken to Song Tu Tay island in a coma, with circulatory failure, respiratory failure, and acute renal failure.
Transport the patient to the island infirmary. |
After receiving the information, the commander of Song Tu Tay Island directed the island's infirmary to make all preparations. The doctors and nurses at the infirmary promptly performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, administered oxygen, administered intravenous fluids, used vasopressors, and consulted with the Naval Medical Institute to develop a treatment regimen for prolonged re-increased blood pressure, combined with other active resuscitation measures. According to information from Brigade 146, Naval Region 4, at around 5:30 p.m., the patient was still in very serious condition.
